Catawba Two Kings Casino is North Carolina's third tribal casino, operated by the Catawba Indian Nation in Kings Mountain. The casino opened in phases starting July 2021 with a temporary facility, with permanent expansion plans ongoing. Two Kings is the only NC casino owned and operated by a non-Cherokee tribe; the Catawba Indian Nation is based in South Carolina but operates the NC property under a special federal land settlement.

Sports Betting at Catawba Two Kings Casino

As of April 2026, Catawba Two Kings has not opened a retail sportsbook. The Catawba Indian Nation is one of the eligible tribal partners under NC's 2023 sports betting law (HB 347), but the tribe has not partnered with an online operator for a retail sportsbook at the Two Kings property. NC residents and visitors can use any of the 7 licensed online sportsbooks while physically in the state.

Property History

Catawba Two Kings opened in temporary form in July 2021 following federal approval of the Catawba Indian Nation's land claim in Kings Mountain. The Catawba Indian Nation's primary reservation is in South Carolina, but the tribe negotiated a special settlement allowing gaming operations in NC. Permanent expansion plans include a full hotel resort.
